I commissioned John to take some author photos for the launch of my novel, The Two Week Wait. I also wanted some images for my new website, www.thecreativepumpkin.com
We had a brilliant day working together at my home in Brighton, and we ended up with a splendid selection of portrait and still life shots. Not only am I thrilled with the results, but so are my publishers, and the shots have been widely used by the press both here and in America.
Somehow John manages to capture the essence of his subjects – whether they be people or objects – and make them look beautiful, but never forced. His images are very natural and have an ease about them. Indeed, John is like that himself – he has a real gift for putting people at their ease. He is reliable, hard working – he always meets deadlines – and his pricing is competitive. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
You are OUR Mario Testino. I am REALLY happy. I LOVE them.
As our surgery of 8,000 patients was relocating to a new site we commissioned John to undertake a series of local photos of Tunbridge Wells in black and white, to use outside various consulting rooms and along the corridors.
We wanted some unusual and atmospheric photos of the town which would engage people and make them look with a different, searching eye on otherwise familiar aspects of Tunbridge Wells and its environs. This has certainly been the case and every day people are seen studying the photos and making very positive, complimentary comments.
From a great portfolio presented by John, each Doctor chose his or her ‘favourite’ to be close to their particular consulting room. The varied scenes and subjects has added tremendously to the ambience of the surgery.
I would thoroughly recommend John for his professional approach and his highly artistic eye, and would like to thank him for a long lasting contribution to the Surgery.
The photos came out really well! Thanks for being very professional and capturing all the shots I wanted throughout the day.
John was briefed to capture a new look and feel for Vodafone in advance of guidelines being approved (which is no mean feat). So he’s been snapping away, capturing lots of different ethnicities around London and then chasing after them to get their approval.
So there’s two bits of good news; not only does Vodafone LOVE the work for this campaign, they also think it’s so good that it will be incorporated within the UK brand guidelines to show the direction that all photography should now be taking.
Well done… BRILLIANT work! Thanks so much for all your efforts to pull this off, you’ve done Digital & Direct proud!
Fantastic work, really excellent. It’s the additional benefit of how this cements the client relationship so much more strategically that makes double the value of the work and helps across the whole account. Well done.
Brilliant, this is the kind of talent and ownership that builds an agency. Well done and thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words and all your work yesterday, we really enjoyed ourselves and were so pleased that you had great fun as well. The photos are great and we really appreciate your coming to the show and being so happy to record Boathouse Theatre Company’s achievements.
Thank you. Great work. Everyone loves the framed photos and they look fantastic. Really pleased, a great success.
