I live in Tunbridge Wells but will happily travel throughout the UK.

Travel for local photo shoots in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding towns is included. If however you are slightly further afield please contact me and I will happily provide a quote.

That is entirely up to you. If there is somewhere near home that means something to you, such as a park or favourite part of town we can head there. We can also spend time at home or in the garden. If you prefer we can split our time between the two.

I usually find that four hours is the best amount of time to give you a great selection of photographs, and maintain everyone’s enthusiasm, and that is what the session price is based on. I can of course stay longer if required and quote a price accordingly.

I prefer to shoot these session in the morning straight after breakfast when the light is usually good, children are at their energetic best and parents most relaxed (but you know your routines better than me, so if this does not suit we can make another plan). There is no time pressure and I will play with the children so they are relaxed in my company, which lets their personalities shine through.

No! We will only do what comes naturally and I like to maintain as much spontaneity as possible.

Whatever you feel best and comfortable in. I would avoid anything with strong patterns such as checks, stripes and big logos as these can be extremely distracting - and also date quickly. It is entirely up you if you wish to colour co-ordinate but this is not essential for great photos.

Only what you would bring for a normal family day out. If children want to bring scooters, footballs or a favourite toy that is great. Family pets are also always very welcome. A spare set of clothes is always a good idea incase of tumbles - as are the always essential wet wipes.

No. Unfortunately in England we have to work with the rain. Luckily, the British spirit and a few bright pairs of wellies make for great photos and you can’t get more simple fun than splashing in puddles. We may spend a bit more time inside than we would do normally but I will still aim to spend half our time outdoors.

A combination of both colour and black and white images will be used. Some images lend themselves more naturally to black and white and can avoid issues with artificial light. Black and white images can also be a lot more timeless and flattering but they will always be balanced with a selection of coloured images. The balance of colour to black and white images will vary per shoot and is at my discretion.

Yes, it does not matter what age your children are – you still need to capture those magic moments.

Yes of course. I am more than happy for extended family to join in but I would need this information provided at booking, so we can discuss your exact requirements.

Most definitely. I carry full up-to-date professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

I always aim to have your photographs with you within approximately five weeks. This can differ at peak times of the year but I will keep you updated on progress and send you a confirmation email when they are dispatched, so you know they are on the way.

As the photographer of your images I own the copyright and it is legally impossible for me to ‘give’ that copyright away. I can however grant you permission to use the images for unlimited personal use.

This means you, your friends and family can print out the pictures as a set of prints, in an album, or share them on Facebook. The only thing you cannot do is use them for any kind of advertising, or enter them in competitions.

Firstly you will need to check my availability on your chosen date. Please let me know how many family members are attending and the ages of children involved

I would then require you to complete and return a booking form (this will be emailed to you) along with a non-refundable retainer fee of £100. This fee will be deducted from the final balance, which is due 28 days before your family photo shoot.

You are under no obligation to me to purchase anything above and beyond your family session. You will have your disc of images which belong to you, so you may wish to do this yourself. The Albums and Books I offer are gorgeous though and benefit from being professionally designed. If you would like me to produce one for you, I would of course be delighted too.
