I believe that great wedding photography should be about creating timeless images that catch those precious details and fleeting special moments from your day as they happen, enabling you and generations to come to remember, relive and enjoy them forever. To put it simply, I tell the real story of your wedding day through my photographs.
I also firmly believe that your wedding day is yours to be enjoyed to the full with family and friends. In all the excitement and emotion, your day can pass so quickly and I find capturing real moments as they happen, produces much more beautiful and precious photos than dragging you both away for long photo shoots, which is also incredibly disruptive.
Many couples have said afterwards they were not aware that I was there a lot of the time, which is the way it should be. It is a very simple approach but one that produces a fantastic record of your day.
When I say I will be with you all day I mean exactly that. I set no hourly limit on the length of time I spend at your wedding. Every day is different and I like to be around for as much of it as possible.
I will arrive at the bride’s house a few hours before the ceremony to capture the preparation and build-up. I find this is a great part of the day where I can meet your bridesmaids and family and everyone gets used to me being around.
I will then head to the ceremony venue to find the groom and best man and catch some shots of your guests arriving. I will introduce myself to the Vicar or Registrar at this point and with their permission shoot discreetly throughout the service, and afterwards as you greet your guests as a newly married couple.
It’s then onto the venue, where I will cover reception drinks through to the speeches and onto your first dance. I will then stay for a short time after this, which is the most ‘energetic’ time on the dance floor, and take some shots as guests display their best dance moves. I will then leave you all to party on into the evening.
After your wedding I always back up your images in duplicate and one set is stored in a separate location, so they are completely secure at all times.
I then personally edit your photographs removing any unflattering expressions and perform basic tweaks leaving you with you a set of approximately 400 professionally finished images.
A combination of both colour and black and white will be used to document your wedding. Some images lend themselves more naturally to black and white and can avoid issues with artificial light. Black and white images can also be a lot more timeless and flattering but they will always be balanced with a selection of coloured images, to give a true flavour of your wedding day. The balance of colour to black and white images will vary per wedding and is at my discretion.
These will then be presented to you on disc in a beautiful presentation box as both high-resolution files, which are perfect for printing, and a set for use on social media so you can share them worldwide as you desire.
I have a very simple package option, with no hidden costs or surprises. All your images come with copyright usage for life, so they really are yours forever. It is that simple.
I also offer some gorgeous Wedding Albums and Books which you can choose to compliment the above, and you can read more about those here.
